Financial Exchange greatly expands

The Financial Exchange is a very good program but Barry Armstrong is producing the show to promote his products and the businesses his firm does business with. Cushing and Dolan, Leader Bank.etc. He is not a traditional program producer who would make money by selling spots or collecting fees from the stations that run his program. The show is a vehicle to get people into his office so he can sell them an annuity. I am not saying there is anything wrong with what he is doing, it is just a different business modle and as a smart business person he knows that if he deleivers a qualityon air product on people will listen and listen longer. I also think he has a bit of an ego and likes being a "media celebrity."

I did business with Armstrong and Rubino and Liang years ago and they were professional and honest in all the radio dealings I had with them.

He promotes advertisers in specific spot breaks or delegated "live read" times. Cushing, Leader, Boston Solar are all advertisers. Name me someone in his predicament that would dedicate their day to delivering timely biz and financial news but only promote themselves or advertisers in spot breaks. You won't find one on Saturdays or Sundays (let alone daily).
