Finger Fired

Maybe McConnell can phone in an afternoon drive show in case the WGN gig doesn't work out. How about some of Burbank's supporting cast?

WOXY-FM is no longer in Oxford. It's now licensed to Mason and the actual station is in Georgetown.
 
A caller on Furman's show just referred to an "Eddie" getting into a fight last night at a party in Kenwood and being fired today...

I heard that same caller on Furman's show refer to something along the lines of "that talent over at that other station is gone because of that party last night."

I was flipping through the dial on my way home and heard Fingers and Jones yesterday talking about some "party" and then they had two guys talking to each other about said party and that it was an "adult party". One of the guys on the phone was talking about bringing his kids to this party, etc.

Hmmm....so if this is true. Kind of a bummer, as Eddie Fingers was a staple of Cincinnati radio since the 1980s... If he is indeed gone, there is probably no chance of him getting back on WEBN, as WEBN is a Clear Channel station as well.

Makes me wonder if he would go to 96 Rock...isn't that where he started back in the day BEFORE WEBN?

It IS an improvement.

Fingers was always too loud and hypey and Jones was too dumb ass.
 
Firing Fingers is dumber than the Bengals drafting David Klingler. Dumber than Art Long belting a police horse up side the head. Dumber than putting Stern on that pea-shooter signal WAQZ. Dumber than thinking that Tracey Jones could be a winner on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader". I could keep going but you get the point. Unless you're really high up in C.C. management. Eddie, we loved ya' on WEBN, loved ya' on WLW and will continue to love ya' wherever you land.
