Finneran "vacation"

Bob Hendlun said Tom Finneran will be on vacation all next week on WRKO and Bob will be filling in.
Supposedly this week, WRKO was to deal with the situation of Finneran becoming a lobbyist--
ethical for him to stay on the air? I don't know if a decision has been reached but we'll have to see
how long his "vacation" lasts ("I guess he's using up some vacation time")...TF began a yr ago next Tue
 
Hedlund. Help me. Help us all. I'd rather listen to the old gardening show during drive time. He's neither informative nor funny. Worse yet, he thinks he's funny. Blute was better along with a long list of people currently on air.

I rarely listen drive time but if I'm in the care I'll have EEI on then. Even with the long breaks.

Raccoon, do you mean this is a "forced" vacation? What is latest information on this?

You must have missed part of the broadcast. He said he is going away for an out of the area wedding. Nothing more to it than that.
 
I just heard the end, where Hedlund said he'd be in all week for TF. I don't know if it's a forced vacation,
but I know that WRKO was supposed to deal with TF's lobbying situation sometime this week and no
announcement had come...
...though as I say in a sep. post, the Phoenix's site (in Don't Quote Me) is saying that Finneran is
quitting the lobbying gig. They are awaiting confirmation. I thought (before I had heard this) that
maybe Entercom was benching him for now; then again, he probably is due vaca time anyway.
