As long as everybody got out safely, that's what matters. Houses can be rebuilt. People can't.Billy Crystal, Mark Hamill and other celebrities have lost their homes
Now a fire in the Hollywood Hills.
LAUSD shut down tomorrow. UCLA going remote.

Either I missed it -- and I was watching coverage most of the day -- or they haven't determined what caused the fires as yet. Sorry, but it won't shock me if the first one was human-caused (read: arson), and it spread from there. I hope I'm wrong.
There have been so many that it’s going to take awhile to sort out the causes.
We get full of ourselves and try to do what looks best for our reel or trying to get the best shot

Studio City home collapses from massive LA fire
As fires continue to spread across Los Angeles County, one Studio City home collapsed live on the air shortly after catching fire.
A House in Studio City was caught on fire and collapsed. Note this is part of the wildfires hitting the LA Area.
If I ran the worker's comp insurance company for these stations, I'd seriously consider cancelling their insurance after seeing how close the reporters were to the fire.
NBC LA just had a live shot of the Eaton fire from a camera on Mount Wilson, mentioning that it's "approaching our broadcast towers".
KCAL\KCBS-Tv is showing flames by their site.
Could you identify them, or did you grab any screenshots? KTLA doesn't seem to have a Youtube livestream up right now.
Here's a screenshot. Look down the hill to the small building with flames coming out of it.

ABC7 is live on Youtube, and their chopper is showing Mt. Wilson burning and the antennas near the fire/smoke.
The stations have their microwave relays up there as well as the transmitters. KTLA's relays have been a bit hit and miss, probably because of heavy smoke. But still running,as is their webcam. KTLA was first up there in 1947.
