The coolest part of that whole time was my friend and colleague Bob Bailey, on 94Q, interviewing both Ringo and Wyman at the same time, from the top of the old Peachtree Center hotel. It was of course in advance of the restaurant opening, but free-form regardless. Just them, up there, on the rotating floor. Ringo was late; one of my fave memories was listening to Wyman giving Ringo crap about showing up late. Cool as hell, because as far as I know it was the only time EVER a Beatle and a Rolling Stone were ever on the air together, talking about stuff. And, we played requests i.e. what Bill Wyman wanted to hear, and Ringo, too. Wyman wanted to hear "Parachute Woman"; Ringo wanted "Rain". Bob was fantastic with the interview--it was relaxed and fun and informational, all at once. Imagine: a Beatle, a Stone, all at once, just shooting the s**t! That's what it was. It lasted for about 2 hours I think, and was totally free-form. Amazing stuff.
