First Broadcasting backtracks on Bob name

According to this article in R&R, First Broadcasting now claims it never used the name "Bob FM" with its Cincy area trimulcast.

The change for the trio of stations came Sunday. While initial reports had the stations taking the "Bob FM" name, First Broadcasting has not used the moniker for WAOL, WAXZ & WOXY.

So either the multiple reports on here of the Bob FM were errant, or First Broadcasting is trying to play spin control.

Anyone by chance roll tape on the Bob FM incarnation?
______________

I just emailed it to you. If they were going to borrow an existing name, they should have used Da Buzz. 97.7 Oxford sounds horrible!

Horrible is a "kind" word. I can plug in my 8-track tape player and pump out a better sound that what is on WOXY now.

Thanks for the audio file... Interesting that First Broadcasting now says that they never used the Bob name, when clearly they did. The voiceover guy is the same as I've heard on other Bob stations...
______________

The buzz is fixed now, and it sounds like they've added music.

Were WAOL & WAXZ live & local before the switch?

The buzz has been fixed and it sounds great! WAOL and WAXZ were both live and local before this switch. What does everyone think of the new switch?

My mom will hate it now that WAXZ is no longer Country. Though this move makes more sense if they are indeed relocating WAXZ to Salt Lick, KY. Wasn't that where 80s wrestler "Hillbilly Jim" was "from"?.

I apologize for asking this, but why do you guys care so much on what radio in cincinnati does, or in that case what these 3 stations decide to play especially if you are from tampa fla.....long way from cincinnati?
