on December 30th Flash had a station meeting and fired their airstaff. What a fun way to end 2006. I really hope first broadcasting is losing a lot of money because of that station

Anybody in the business knows that this could happen anywhere and, unlike a lot of the talented professionals at other stations in Sac, at least the good people (locally) at Flash knew that this time would come. I only hope that they've been preparing and will land on their feet in no time.
As far as FB, this is just another example of how little they know about operating a radio station. They are amateurs with egos big enough to fill the state of Texas. Anybody who has worked for them knows that. Enough said.
Though the former staff may not realize it yet, this is probably the best thing that could have happened to their careers. Now they can pursue a job where they are valued and appreciated for all of their hard work instead of being "treated" to lousy paychecks and unimaginable stress. I hope they will each find a place where the phrase "radio is fun again" is more than just an empty promise. Good luck and best wishes to the Flash staff.
I've been searching for this nirvana known as "fun radio". I hardly remember the last time I'd seen it.
