First Canadian AM network shows

I'm sure these AM morning shows go way back in Canada, but when my family vacationed on Vancouver Island in the mid 70's, I noted a very similar show to Good Morning America on either CBC, or perhaps a local Vancouver. (CTV?) I have always wondered how these shows have progressed from that date. Are they still successful? Rating leaders?
