First Dan Carroll, now Lance and Amazon?

Brian65 is correct. I also heard Dan openly mock that guy during a discussion about the degrade of our society. The callers point seemed fine but slightly out of context. Instead correcting him or simply disagreeing, he repeated that soundbite of the woman in Cleveland screaming Obamphone in a cheapshot, overbearing manor.
Tonight's offenders in civil discourse: about 7:50PM Lance was firmly entrenched in the steroid era induction of MLB HOF candidates. One of the last callers he had defended his opposing view pretty well. Instead of letting the caller finish his thought, Lance talked nonsense over him and expressed some sort of weird nervous laughter (A.K.A Hilary Clinton anytime she is asked a tough ?) All this in a purposeful, GOADING manor!
When Mark came on at 9PM he was clearly in COPYCAT mode. Trying to draw Mike Allen into the frey (Mike wasn't biting). In my opinion Lance, Mark, Eddie and Tracy are all post-grads of the Parks school of combative broadcasting.
My queston for everyone is this. Does belittling a caller: this ratty-snarky tenor actually payoff in RATINGS & REVENUE? I find it offensive to the point I turn the channel. 10 years ago, I'd never make that statement! Thank God McConnell's time slot now spans a 5hr period!

Amazon is awful. Not sure who's screening his callers, but that's not the work of a friend. I still ROFL about him bailing out early during severe weather. Mommy must be worried that he didn't bring his galoshes. ::)

About the only thing WLW is good for anymore is their news reports at the top and the bottom of the hours...everything else is crap.

I turned off the tired old schtick of Tracy Jones about 3-4 years ago. It's sad that CC keeps this form of "Entertainment" on the air....

I thought Carroll had a bit more in him then resorting to this type of on air antics. Guess I was wrong. He seemed like a decent personality when he was on WXIX.

TV news anchors have to keep their opinions to themselves, but once Carroll hit WLW, he needed a POV. Might be the reason he lost his TV gig in Dayton, his radio opinions were a turn off to viewers.

As far as Lance McAlister, I am not sure what he really thinks about anything other than being a Reds, Bengals and UC homer who has a hard time talking about anything non-Cincinnati (including Ohio State and Kentucky) without being a basher. Basically all he does is say things to rile people up, which a good radio host does (to a point), but often there is some certainty as to the host's own opinions.
