Tonight I got two new Es logs, and my first Es with IDs for 363 days. This does not count the 7/4 weak opening where low FM was only noted.

6:45PM-UNID 91.7 with NPR-like talk. Thought KSVR was in. Was walking home from my library at this time. Running to get home and log skip!
6:50PM-89.9 KACV Amarillo, TX, ID "FM90" briefly. KASB off, o/u KGRG for a minute or two. 100kw at 1351 miles!
6:53PM-UNID 91.7 with preacher.
7:07PM-UNID 99.5 with Christian music, KBIJ?
7:07PM-UNID 105.7 with Jana Kramer's Why Ya Wanna [C&W music]. KVAY?
7:50PM-102.1 KSMT Breckenridge, CO, Bob Marley reggae, ID "KSMT" by YL. 6kw at 981 miles.
8:05PM-89.9 with Air 1 // 88.1. Likely KAIG Dodge City, KS, at 1300ish miles.

I know that you are more of the FM DX type, but sometimes if there's just channel 2 or 3, you have to take what there is. Knowwutimean? I know that reaching 88-108 has been rare here as well this year, but TV almost every day lately.

cb, have you ever caught DT 2 in Vegas?

I don't have a DTV converter box, nor a 25 ft rooftop antenna, so no. Nada for KOTA, KNOP, etc. either. Except for TV5 and TV6, I am 100% a FM Es DXer. Of course after August I morph into an AM DXer...

You sure don't need a big antenna for FM DXing and to me anyway, DTV DXing doesn't seem worth the effort because of the all or nothing kind of signals.

That's why I really miss analog TV.
