First focuses on 1190, disses 1160

1190 is always loud and clear, no goofs and no nothing out of the ordinary, production-wise. However, 1160 is still sometimes playing 1190's programming, or, like earlier today, was just simply dead air. Why is 1160 the stepchild here? They're both tied for a 0.0 and still aren't selling spots for either. 1190 gets traffic, too, whereas 1160 doesn't.

Suppose the realtor's put a sign in the yard at either frequency yet???

And who would want to buy either frequency for what possible reason?

Anybody else hear 'splatter' in with 1190?

A splatter that has been around for a few weeks
now, a splatter from another station down the
dial.

And not just adjacent channel splatter, this is
from (believe it or not) from aways down the
'band'.

Taking a receiver with a ferrite loopstick and
nulling 1190 the splatter can REALLY be heard
if the right program material is playing on 990
-er- that other station down the dial ...

Im surprised Liberman hasnt tried to buy one or both (I would bet they have inquired about them though)..1160 is probably a better deal than 1190 since it will cover N Dallas better....CC should have opened up 1190's night site pattern to the NW before letting First LMAing it....what a screwup for an improvement!

.. interested in anybody else in Collin County experiencing this ...

... the splatter, that is.

It's also just noticable under 820/WBAP's audio and
also in the 'quiet' area between 770 and 820 and
where the splatter is coincident with that station
mentioned earlier near Farmersville ...

It's receivable (the splatter) on every AM receiver
that I've tried, which makes four different makes,
models and architectures, from:

a) doubly-tuned MOSFET-equipped tuner in a Heath AR1500A

b) a Declo OEM AM/FM

c) a singly tuned Sears AM/FM/SW with a 4" ferrite rod

d) a Wadley-loop tuned general coverage receiver receiving
through a Palomar Engineers amplified ferrite loopstick.

This splatter is new, wasn't present this spring or summer,
but has been present for the last month or so.
