First NEW AM log of 2017 - 1/23/2017

After 23 days of wondering when I will ever get something new on the MW band, I finally did. And I didn't expect this one.

1000 - XEOY Mexico City, DF; poor-fair under KOMO Seattle w/ Spanish music; ID "Mil AM" at 2225 PT 1/23. NEW #732, 50kw at 2,237 miles! Impressive with KOMO usually in the way, but conditions were really good last night.
Also heard WCKY-1530 OH right under KFBK w/ ESPN programming; and 1570 KBCV Hollister, MO w/ Bott mentions and a promo for Through the Life around 2200 PT. That's 3kw, 1561 miles.
No audio - everytime I tried to get audio they would fade. Yet I got a fair ID when my recorder was turned OFF! Murphy's Law at its finest...
 
Congratulations, once again on some nice catches! I've been in Florida for these last few days, where there's something strange happening on 1000. I'm starting a new thread to discuss.
