First Personality at 103.3 AMP Radio

My friend Jeff told me that this might be the case, since he posted on his (I think) Facebook or Twitter that he was returning to Boston last week. He was also briefly on 104.5 XLO before going to Kiss in Hartford as "Danny Brooks". I met him once, as I began working at XLO just as he was leaving... great talent in my opinion!

Remarkable. CBS breaking the tradition to add personality on air direct after launch and do not a month or so, 10.000 songs in a row jockless.

I wonder what kind of morning show the AMP will use to go against Matty. CBS should run a jockless morning show that was music intensive. No more of the endless talk and only 3 songs per hour. Save the hosts for the afternoon...

Didn't CBS just add two new cast members to Karson and Kennedy's show on Mix? Doing a personality heavy morning show on Amp may not be in their plans, because it could only hurt the investment they just made in K&K. That show needs all the ratings help it can get against Matty.

You've gotta remember that as an AFTRA station, WODS has contractual obligations regarding full-time and part-time talent.

Technically SAG-AFTRA now, since they merged with the Screen Actors Guild. I do recall that effects things, for example, Mix 104.1 must have a board op on overnights even though there is no jock on air due to a prior obligation. Not sure if that's still the case.

Still is. I'm a CBS Radio employee in another market, on a SAG-AFTRA station, and we have the same deal BMX and ODS have... 24/7 body in the studio.

The month without personalities may still happen. They need to get Joey Brooks into Boston and then do lots of practice shows.

How about Jeff St John?
Anyone remember this host?
He used to be on "KISS 108, and KISS 95.7 back in the late 80s. When he was on both stations, he used to play mixes and remixes. This guy was great. He was on (back then around 1991-MIX 98.5) for about two weekends
He was most recently on WILD 94.9 San Fransisco and went as "St John" still sounded great on there as well.
It'd be nice to hear him again

no offense but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a now type station a dj from the 80's?? maybe i'm wrong but maybe a few clear channel recent cast aw away DJ's is probably the way to go,like the sports hub did when they first started, and still do!!

St. John is currently the afternoon guy at 99.7 Now in SF.

We added two but technically, one was a replacement. Producer Josh left for ESPN Radio in Bristol & Mike Morgan was his replacement. Salt was an addition to the team, formerly he was one half of Salt & Demitri from a rock station in Raleigh NC.

We'll take all the help we can get. ;D

great idea guys Danny Bonaduce should be the morning show (sarcasm) seriously just simulcast karson and Kennedy!!

According to his Facebook page Jeff Lawrence, who was a weekender at WODS will stay on at Amp.

Maybe just as a board op until they hire CHR personalities? I can't imagine them keeping anyone who was on WODS except maybe Deirdre Dagata, who was on Kiss and Jamn in the past.
