Then, mid 70s at NOE-FM, keeping The Chart Room in business in the Quarter, and the beautiful brothers LaRocca in Fat City. Like someone hinted: not much bread from any of this :(, but most of us would have paid to be a part of
it. ;D

I remember walking into The Chart Room after I stopped drinking (no it wasn't a problem thing.lol)...and I said "Damn, I can't believe we entertained people in this place. It kinda lost its charm when not drinking. (When we were downing the yager it was the perfect place to meet and greet.)

Phyllis, wasn't his name Ty Bell? Whatever happened to him?

Yep that was it...Old age making me forget things...He was so loveable. Not sure where he ended up, but those roller skates up and down the hallways of QUE! Too funny

Guys...and u 2 Weirdo! ;D

I worked under the Baton Rouge name of Mike Wilson and hey, Reno, I was the Michael Angelo that one night at KHOM!

I grew up on TIX, every morning as long as I can remember with "Real Bob" ...later in the day it was glued on WRNO, but let's not forget the amazing one-hite-wonder of WIXO! I think that may have been one of the hot spots of New Orleans Radio!

Cap and DOug Christian visites Abramson High School one day and I think I got the 'bug' at that time. Reinhart, Fatman and company at WRNO did a little broadcast school and of course, I had to see what it was all about. Got paroled and went to work my first gig in Pascagoula with Bazoo and Dave, the party king. Went on to Mobile then to Baton Rouge where I made the rounds with all the FMs in town...most time spent at WFMF, WGGZ(formerly WAFB_FM).
I know we have lost a lot here lately...Joey Hearn "Flash, from GGZ and WYNK, Gordon West from, well, where wasn't he from! Also Duffy Spears if anyone remembers him.

I spent a lot of time enjoying the biz, but like u say Wayne, more money to made these days flippn' burgers! :'(
Would love to be there on 9/20....hoping to do so!
