First the NFL, now the NBA...What's next?

Tvnewscheck.com reports that there's now an NBA lockout. And apparently, it's costing all affected media a lot of money!

How? Nothing's going on right now - it's the offseason. Training camps for the NBA don't open until September.

Much bigger chance of the NBA losing a season than the NFL. Might be a repeat of the NHL's lost season a few years ago, and for the same reasons...with the same result.

Well, thats because the NFL's lockout is a joke. I still think its all a big play to get the league talked about even more over the summer. I'd be surprised if they lose even 1 regular season game to it

The reason why the NFL lockout has been a joke is because.....

1) Players & Owners are actually being professional & business like & conducting themselves as such
2) The egos of either party aren't nearly as big in the NFL as they are in the NBA
3) NFL Players are more willing to take pay cuts than NBA Players are

That said, I still believe the 2010 NFL season will likely be shortened to 10 or 12 games though when you factor in the logistics of getting everyone in camp & in playing shape once the lockout has been lifted

Cheers :D

If the NFL and NBA want to lock their players out, it doesn't bother me, sports has become nothing but "money" and "winning titles", and the average fan is tired of it, if every team is losing revenue, it's because of the extravangant salaries these players make!, no sports figure should ever be paid huge amounts.

When hasn't sports been about winning the title? It generally is among the major objectives. As for salaries, it's what the market bears...capitalism at work.

You must be a (Pittsburgh) Pirates fan. Or owner.
