First Time WKRZ Is Not #1 in Wilkes-Barre - Scranton?

In the latest ratings for Wilkes-Barre - Scranton - Northeastern Pennsylvania, I see Cumulus Top 40 WKRZ is #2. It has been overtaken by Classic Rock WEZX, owned by Times-Shamrock. For years, maybe decades, maybe going back to the 1990s, WKRZ has been always #1. If there was a time WKRZ wasn't #1, I don't remember it.

At one time, stations like KMOX St. Louis, WCCO Minneapolis and KDKA Pittsburgh also had #1 streaks of several decades. But with the decline of the AM band, that's no longer true.

Since monthly measurement began in July 2019, WKRZ has not been #1 only three times: Dec 2019, Jan 2020 and now April 2024.

Prior to that, it was #1 in every book from Summer 2013 through Spring 2019.
From 2002 to 2012 it was only #1 in 13 books, with WMGS and WGGY winning most of the surveys in that span.
From 1981 to 2001, KRZ was #1 in 69 of 73 books, including a streak of 55 consecutive #1s starting in 1988.

In all, since 1981, WKRZ has been #1 in 161 of 201 surveys.
