Fish to run Tesh...

According to All Access:

"Fish Welcomes John Tesh:
The JOHN TESH RADIO SHOW adds new affiliates KFSH (THE FISH 95.9)/LOS ANGELES, and WFHM (95.5 THE FISH)/CLEVELAND. JOHN TESH will air daily from 7p to mid on KFSH, and from 7p-mid SUNDAY through FRIDAY on WFHM. "

bummer, I always thought Josh Booth did well... Sad to see him soon to be replaced with Voicetracked Canned Tesh if All Access is right..

That means WDOK's dropping Tesh's Sunday night show, right?

Also, WQIO "Eagle 93.7" - Mount Union restored John Tesh to their weeknight lineup a few weeks back. WQIO dropped Tesh in early October, after an ownership change back in early October. Until then, ABC's "Hits & Favorites" ran in that time, as is the case with the rest of the day.

Stupid question, but when does Tesh's show run live, anyway?

I dont think it is, I beleive its WANcasted (they send the stations the Tesh voice overs and the station programs the music locally) 93.3 LiteFM (AC) here in Columbus runs Tesh and they run the music locally because when 93Q had Tesh the music and talk sets did not match what Columbus was airing.

Does this mean the Fish is moving further away from playing just Christian artists and starting to include other softer AC hits in its regular rotation?

I kind of wish they'd have moved Josh Booth's rock show that they air on 1220 on Saturday over to the Fish. I would love to see more Christian CHR on that station, especially toward the evenings. For example, I think RadioU in Columbus is great. Just a little mix up for the Fish on weeknights and weekends.

Mix 94.1 in Canton dumped ''Delilah'' to run Tesh almost two years ago..how it fits into Contemp Christian formats baffles me to some degree..I think the Sat feed is 24 hours a day..you can run it in any daypart, since there are stations that run it in A-M drive..just more time to gather all that ''intellegence''..

What I love is that Tesh's big listener blowout last year was held in, of all places..Las Vegas...Hilarious..

Is this perhaps just for Christmas? I see on THE FISH webpage that they are running all Christmas music now.

No. Tesh is permanent. Christmas music started Monday the 14th.

No, I suspect the John Tesh VT's will be mixed with Christian AC. If you listen to John Tesh's show it seems like he never intros songs, Just does his "tesh" stuff. So the station can insert whatever they want. I know the Tesh stuff on Lite93.3FM in Columbus at nights is Recorded, it did not match what WQIO was running in terms of tesh or music.

Salem dont do anything more than AC typically, Josh is an awesome dj and his rock show is awesome! Glad Cleveland has it even if it's on a AM station at night.

That's not necessarily true... Salem programs XM 31 The Torch, which has a great rotation of some Christian CHR and rock tunes. I have heard it on my friend's XM radio and they play some good songs. So surely they have the capacity to expand their parameters.

I guess it isn't fair for me to expect the Fish to cater to younger teens and young adults at night and on the weekends... at least I can catch 95.9 WNPQ "The Light" from New Philadelphia/Canton... they do some rock stuff on the weekends.

I think you may agree with me Lenks that RadioU is really a cool station for you to have down in Columbus...
