I watched most of the KOMO 4 Sunday 6:00 newscast tonight. Eveything looks the same, except they have a new male-coanchor. He's OK.

Who knows what Sinclair will do with KOMO. Right now, the look is somewhat "down", with a drab, dark background, and I really think they need to perk that up..
Sinclair knows what it takes to win, so my advice is meaningless. But KOMO needs new energy, and if I were in charge, I would not rule out the word "Action" in their theme. Give it a spin.

Russ Bowen... he's been there for a few months. I actually think he is pretty good with Michelle Esteban. It took KOMO a long time to replace the previous weekend guy. They hired Joel Connable from Miami; he anchored one weekend, and then tragically died when his insulin pump failed.

My sources say there's a "meet the new owners" all-station meeting at 10am. Probably won't be any major news but it will mark the beginning of a new (and to some, unwelcome) era at the Crystal Palace...

So I guess we'll change "Live from Fisher Plaza" to "Live from Sinclair Plaza" I suppose!

I think the owners (not being Fisher/Sinclair) of "Fisher Plaza" can call it anything they want to.
But probably it's not going to be the name of a tenant (Sinclair).

May be early to judge, but I sort of liked how they ended their afternoon news today... cascading a series of their old logos.

Strange to see "Sinclair Communications" though... amazing, how a company that was such a big part of Northwest broadcasting can just quietly be gone.

How did the all hands meet-the-owners meeting go?

See my post about two entries above your query.
Radio definitely not part of the PLANNED 'strategy'....Fisher made Sinclair take everything.
TV told to "step up their game" and knock KING off the top of the heap...among other issues.
(Good luck with that)

Pat Cashman shared with me years ago his strategy for survival. He said that he hid behind potted plants when the management came around. Said he finally got canned when 'there were no more potted plants to hide behind".
perhaps time to do a trade (Fisher never traded) with a nursery?
Gotta love Pat's style.
