For what it's worth, when CC AOR 96 Rock in ATL (WKLS) flipped to active rock Project 9-6-1 in 2006 they played as their last song the first song they ever played in 1974 ...Baba O'Riley.

The station that a few months later took over the AOR mantle (Cumulus WNNX Rock 100.5, not to be confused with 99X) played Baba O'Riley as their first song.

The Manhattans "Kiss And Say Goodbye" -- fitting for a switch from soft AC or R&B oldies. Hot 105.9 in Phoenix played this as their second-to-last song before flipping to Spanish.. "Last Dance" was the final song.)

And yall missed Neil Sedaka's "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" (original version for a flip from oldies; '76 ballad for a flip from soft AC)

and just for fun, if a station flips from Jack-FM to Jill FM (or vice-versa) "Jack And Jill" by Raydio.

When Rev105 in Minneapolis was bought out and flipped formats from free-form alternative to hard rock, the final two songs were Celebration by Kool and the Gang and the last song was Hello, Goodbye by The Beatles. After that, angry white boy rock polluted the 3 105 frequencies over the Twin Cities.

Classic Hits KDOK-FM in Tyler, TX used American Pie as their final song when they switched to a talk format in 2009.
