If you have an HD radio, five new stations came on the air today (February 3). For those of us who do not have an HD radio, we can stream the stations here: http://www.clearchannelmusic.com/hdradio/ . Nice spot at the top of the page. :)

In other HD news, Mega 104.1 should be broadcasting in HD in about a month if not a bit more (see http://albuquerque.bizjournals.com/albuquerque/stories/2006/01/16/daily27.html ).

Most of Citadel's FM stations should be broadcasting in HD by the end of the year. KKOB-AM should be broadcasting in HD in a couple of months (KKOB-AM is already licensed to broadcast in HD, according to www.hdradio.com ).

Also according to www.hdradio.com , we should be seeing the following multicasts on the following stations by the end of this year:

Call Letters HD2 Format

KABQ Hispanic Oldies
KBQI Country Variety
KBZU Christian Rock
KDRF Raggeton
KKOB Top 10’s-All Formats
KMGA Oldies
KPEK Triple A
KRST Future Country
KSYU New Hip Hop
KTEG Classic Alternative
KZRR Deep Tracks & Live Rock

I'm kind of surprised that we're not seeing any smooth jazz formats here...
