Flattery is the sincerest form of imitation?

Eh...Food Network has a new show called "Tough Cookies".

It's "Cake Boss" meets a little of "Jersey Shore", just swap out cookies for cakes.

How can such a blatant ripoff be greenlighted? Were they THAT desperate to replace Duff Goldman?

Food Network's prime time schedule, for the most part, left me a long time ago. I used to watch a lot of it, but it has been some time now with all the competition shows, Restaurant Rebuild, and so called reality crap like this.

I like Chopped and Iron Chef America, but not many of the other competition shows. I also like Down Home with the Neelys since they're from the Memphis area. But my favorite Food Network shows are Diners Drive-ins and Dives and Unwrapped.

Now see, I like Food Network Star and have watched several seasons of it in the past. It's got quite the history, including being perhaps the only reality show whose winner in one season was eliminated. (Brownie points for whoever can tell me how it happened.)

HGTV's Design Star has become a disaster after a format change. I watched it last season.
