I have to say I sat on the fence during the Imus "nappy headed hos" incident. My mind changed this weekend when VH1 presented a "Flavor of Love" marathon. It was quite interesting to hear the word "Nappy" so many times. Especially since Don Imus' career ended for using that same word since the original "Flavor Of Love" was broadcast. One example of the word's use in "Flavor of Love": the winning contestant, Chandra, referred to Tiffany Pollard's "nappy weave". There were also calls of "nappy bitch", etc.
Where's the media outrage? Where's Sharpton? Where are all the boycotts by the advertisers?
