FLO RIDA - I CRY on Power 96-1 (Atlanta)...

Now, granted, I listen  to a lot more radio the average person. But why on earth does this song seem to be nearing heavy-rotation status all over again in Atlanta? It never was a bad song. But it peaked everywhere (including Power 96-1) last fall. But Power is playing it more and more and more and more and more...... these last few weeks. And it still shows up on their (live-local) Top 9 @ 9. Is there some local "call out" that is showing a continual demand for this record for pop fans in Atlanta? The song is 8 months old. Or, is this the new norm for pop radio with not letting go of certain recurrents for months or even years? (like Q100 has always done, but with safer music)

Thoughts?

Every Atlanta station we bring up has this same criticism - this market, for whatever reason, is more comfortable with familiar songs

I just heard this play on 101.5 KZON a few minutes ago. I was like "wow, I almost forgot about this." But then again 101.5 KZON now keeps certain songs in rotation for a long time. They're almost like a more rhythmic Q100 (but waaaaaaaAaaaaaaay more fun and live sounding with their dj's and on air personalities).
