Someone asked me today what happened to the "Floria station" She said they liked it
and used to be able to pick it up. But, now the signal is weak and unlistenable.
I am out of touch. Any info?
I didn't know there was a Flora station other than WFMN

Bob,

WYAB/103.9 is now licensed to Flora. http://www.wyab.com/ Class A; transmitter half-way +/- between Ridgeland and Yazoo City.

The owner of that aforementioned station visits this site. Perhaps he might chime in, and let us know if there is an engineering issue. Of course, he may be working on getting it fixed.

Hey all -

I suspect they were almost certainly talking about the old 93.1 frequency. We branded it as a "Flora" station even before getting the official city of license change from Benton to Flora. The studio has been in Flora for about five years now, and still is.

Now, of course, we're on 103.9 FM, and the Oldies format and 93.1 frequency are gone. I've run into that problem quite a bit - people wondering what happened to the Flora station.

BTW - KQID 93.1 FM from Alexandria, LA comes in quite well now that we're off the channel. They caused us SO much interference when we had those good ol' tropospheric ducting mornings.

That's probably it. The person who asked lives at Lake Lorman. After looking at the coverage map on the WYAB website I couldn't understand why she couldn't get it.
I pick it up "OK" in the car over here on the northshore of the reservoir. Getting a fair amount of multi-path.
A lot of clients on the air.
Hope it does well.
