Florence Gets A New Urban Station

Not much competition for WYNN, 94.1 is a Kingstree station, very weak signal in Florence, and 105.9 only covers parts of Florence.

No doubt. WRZE is a 6K-A signal nearly 35 miles from Florence. Sumter, Manning, Pamplico, St. Stephens & Andrews gets better service from the stick than Florence.

Qantum flips 105.9 W290CD and 94.1 WRZE to Urban SWAGGA 94.1/105.9. Direct competition is Cumulus WYNN 106.3
W290CD? Where is this?

I was unable to enjoy Easy 105.9 on the way to the beach last year because of a gospel station.

This is even worse.

W290CD is about a mile and a half NW of downtown Florence. It used to be the translator for Qantum's gospel WWRK AM 1400 "The Light".

That explains the gospel music I heard last year.

I emailed Easy 105.9 trying to get this thing shut down, but I'm not optimistic. They probably don't care about being heard north and west of Marion, but I feel sorry for people that have to actually live there.

I have a question. WWRK is a Darlington station. My guess is that sunny is in Florence.

When I wake up each weekday morning, a man is doing the news for the county where I live. Sometimes I get in the car and another area station has a news broadcast with local information as well, an hour later.

Does anyone do this for towns like Darlington and Marion? Bennettsville didn't have WBSC again this year when I went to the beach, though WCRE had the same music format I remember being on WBSC.
