Florence,SC Gets A New Urban Station

Qantum flips 105.9 W290CD and 94.1 WRZE to Urban SWAGGA 94.1/105.9. Direct competition is Cumulus WYNN 106.3. There's a new one for ya "SWAGGA".
 
Isn't there an Urban AC hole there? If memory serves, Cumulus changed the format of its urban AC station in Florence a few years back.

No, even though Cumulus did pull the plug on Urban AC MAGIC 94.3/WCMG in favor of Rock in 2010. The Florence market has an Urban AC format called THE FLO 102.9/WZTF owned by Qantum with Steve Harvey and Keith Sweat. This will give Qantum an Urban combo serving the Pee Dee Area. THE BIG DM 101.3/WWDM out of Columbia,SC also booms into Florence playing Urban AC .

Wow. Neither the full power station nor the translator actually have a usable signal for Florence listeners.

And that name is soon to meet its expiration date.
