Florida Georgia Line F. Nelly - Cruise

We're playing the country version. I got a lot of flack when I added the Nelly version, a week later I replaced it with the original.

You down south? Country music faithful just hate when an act tries to crossover, broaden their appeal and GASP make more $$$. I remember all the Shania hate back in the day.

You're a Hot AC, though...I think (I thought that's what you had said a while back)

We are not in the south, but we are stuck between two very major country markets: Indianapolis & Muncie-Marion

Indy's top 2 are both country stations: http://www.allaccess.com/arbitron#40

We've got a different CHR mix than most with Sara Bareilles "Brave" in light rotation, Eric Church "Springsteen" in Recurrent/Gold, Bridgit Mendler "Hurricane" in medium rotation; however we do have the standard sound with Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Bruno Mars & Rihanna leading the way. We do this because there is not a strong HotAC coming out of Indy and WLBC in Muncie sounds dated at times and really focuses on Muncie heavily.

Call us Hot AC, Adult Pop, CHR/M...whatever, we call ourselves Today's Hottest Hits http://www.917weem.org

Non-comm, so we're not completely sure. Before Indy went subscriber only we did show up a few times in the PPM data, even though 80% of our listening area isn't in the Indy metro. Pretty good for high school kids.

@bobdavcav We don't take a break. Our radio students have filled my volunteer sheet for the entire summer break already. Many of them are freshmen & sophomores, so we'll struggle a little at times working out the occasional kink.

That's awesome, and I'm really jealous that your kids have a high school radio station - but I don't think a commercial CHR could get away with playing Eric Church and the album version of Florida Georgia Line
