Fly 92.9 New Imaging

Listening to Fly 92.9 right now...right before they played "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears For Fears they played a new jingle, with female singers, that says-"We Play Anything-Fly 92.9!". I wonder if John O'Hurley or Tony Banks Voiceovers will be dropped?
 
Been listening at work...not a bad sound and great variety...(though I will always miss Z) but at least it has an afternoon host wo does a pretty good job. Don't mind the quasi/British accent dude's liners and TOH ID...whatever his name is. .

The "British"-sounding guy is none other than now former "Family Feud" host John O'Hurley(He is being replaced this fall by Steve Harvey on "Feud"). I've never cared for him either as host of "Feud" or doing imaging for Fly. The other guy that sounds normal is Tony Banks.
Danielle keeps the music the star as it should be on an Adult Hits station(She's a nice lady as well). Fly has really sounded good lately. Steve Weed is doing great as PD of Fly.
Z will always be missed. Z(along with "WKRP In Cincinnati")is what got me interested in radio in the first place. Hey, you never know if one day down the road Mainline could sell of 92.9 and Z could possibly be brought back, since the calls are still intact, but I don't look for it to happen unless ML sells the station.
 
Wow...that's huge news. I wonder who will fill his void? It's a big one to fill too since he was OM for the entire cluster but also PD for Fly.
 
Well, hopefully the new guy does a better job at Main Line. Things sound so cookie cutter in that building. It's not really the best at CC either, but hey.

You really shouldn't comment on things you know nothing about. Weed was here for almost two and half years. Prior to that he spent nearly nine years at his last job. I wouldn't exactly call that "jumping around".

Well, I was just implying how we went from The End (Hold your wee for a wii!, just had to say that!) to here in what it seems like a few years. I didn't realize Fly had been around so long! My mistake! Hope it made you feel better being a jerk.

Coming from such a Guru of radio programing such as yourself, perhaps Main Line should hire you as Weed's replacement. You do have a work permit don't you? Seeing where Weed has been in his long career and the sucess he has had, I think it's safe to say you are not worthy of shining his shoes!
