Fly and Kiss, The Pros and cons.

Fly 92 - Pros:
1) Better signal.
2) Great Promotions / Marketing.
3) They are out alot doing remotes.

Cons:
1) Their personalites need tweaking. Who is your stongest on air DJ? Whomever it is should be in the best time slot. And of course the person with low ratings or a newbie should be doing overnights.

2) Have tweaked their format with more Rock.

I know and realizing I'm missing a few on both ends, fee free to add...

KISS -FM. Pros:
1)Decent DJs, except for the mornings. Not a big fan of cyber jocking(This is a Con).

2) Music is Top 40, with more hits from the past.

CONS:

1) Need more promotion / Marketing. Need to be more competitive with Fly in this department. (Please don't tell me lack of funds)

2) Signal is weak.

3) DJs should be LIVE 24/7.

Right on, if KISS were live 24-7, with more promoting & marketing, they could beat FLY, yes they have a weaker signal, but back in the day when WPTR & WTRY were both Top 40 stations and on AM no less, WTRY(5000 watts)outlasted & was a better Top 40 station than WPTR(50,000 watts).

Then again, there was NO Clear Channel back then either...

Actually Joey Kidd is voicetracked at night as well, from Z100/NYC. (Kasper from Q102/Philadelphia in mornings)

I agree Kiss 102.3 would do better if they had dj's 24/7 and fixed their signal. I would say Kiss should throw in more hits from the past. Most of the time i hear current hits except if it's a long weekend. Also whatever happened to Fly 92? I remember when we used to come up here for a couple of days in the late 90s even 2002 Fly 92 was still sounding great, doing weekends with the hits from the past, it sounded great. Fly should forget about this rock stuff they are doing and get back on track already.

Since when are you a radio critic? You are not even in the business. You have been stirring the fly vs. kiss pot for 2 years now. You have no credibility. If you do not believe me, how about that predictiuon that fly would cave when big ellen, roy, and byron had their bluff called, and were fired. When are they coming back The Reporter? Everyone who views this board knows your peculiar fascination with fly, you do not need to remind us with the same post every 6 months.
