Fly Ty does PM Drive on My92.7 Charlotte starting March 8!

My 92.7 will finally have some personalities again starting March 8! Fly Ty, formerly of WPEG, most recently mornings in Dallas, is back on air 2-6pm starting March 8 on WQNC My92.7!
 
Great news, live and local is the way to go. Hmmm, wonder what female they are eye balling for middays? I need to check them out and hear what they sound like. Hopefully its like sister stations Majic 107.5 Atlanta and WR&B 107.9 Philly.
 
I like the new format better than one before, although the music seems kinda random and the station's already getting predictable. They have a club remote with Stacey Blackman 10p-12a Sat, a community affairs show 9-10a Sat, TJMS 6-10a wkdays &10a-12p Sat, Rev Al 9-10a Sun, and voicetracked mixes (no jock, runs into stop set) 6-7p wkdays and 9p-12a Fridays so....I think he'll be a welcome addition, I liked him when he was on Breakfast Brothers Morning Show on Power 98. I think he'll do well, although not sure how he'll do against Baisden, or how his show will be run. I heard Tre Tailor (former Kiss 103.1 Columbia middays) was one they were looking at, well that was last year, still maybe. She called me in what April, last year to ask me about the station so... we'll see.... Glad they got somebody live and local, about time.
 
The Radio One Urban AC here, MAJIC 107.5/97.5 does the live club broadcast Fri 9pm-1am, Sat from 2 clubs 7pm-12am and Sundays 7pm-12am. They be jammin too. Check it out www.majicatl.com

BTW, Tre Tailor is now at Perry Broadcasting's MAGIC 100.9 in Augusta,GA.
 
Yeah, I've listened before a few times. I know Derek Harper, "Hurricane" Dave, Carol Blackmon and alot other folk down there very well. My's mixes are almost identical, especially the one on Saturday to Atlanta mixes. You know R1 was known to fire everybody if they went deep or played music that was "not sanctioned" by company. I didn't know that Tre was in Augusta, I haven't talked to her in a minute. I really don't know who they looking at, but knowing the Charlotte market, it will be someone corny.

I hate to say it, but Radio One here seems to do there own thing compared to other R1 markets. Hurricane Dave rocks, even though i've heard negative things about his prior work experience. Im glad they tapped DJ Nabs for the Sunday nights live broadcast. DJ Red Alert is a legend, but he wasn't hype enough for ATL radio. Where do yo mix at urbanradio704?
