The Flyers and 76ers have announced their 2005/2006 TV schedules.

The great majority of games for both teams will be seen on Comcast Sportsnet, with only ten games of each being on over-the-air TV (WPSG-57). With the exception of the Flyers' October 30th game at Ottawa, all of the Flyers' games on WPSG are on nights when the Sixers will be broadcast on CSN, and vice versa.
Of course, the major reason most of the games of both teams are on CSN is the fact Comcast is the owner of both teams.
Technically, Comcast could place "conflict" games (when the Flyers and Sixers both play at the same time, the game not on CSN) on CN8-Mid Atlantic, making the entire local TV schedules of both teams cable-exclusive. However, CN8's footprint now extends from central New Hampshire and southwest Maine down to Richmond, and west to Pitsburgh. And sometime in 2006, CN8 will be expanded into Michigan (including Detroit) and metro Chicago, likely with a "CN8-Midwest" to include Michigan and spread out from there; and a "CN8-Chicago" for the Windy City area.
What this means is that were CN8 in the Philly area to broadcast "conflict" games, the rest of the CN8 network would have to show something else. Not impossible, but CN8 does have some prime-time shows that on about twenty nights a year would not be seen live in the network's home market.
