WTBI 91.5 is not NPR, its religious
and the 93.5 for WKSK is just a translator

I guess when you are surrounded by markets with 100,000 watt Class C stations, you can hear a lot! You get your home market of Charlotte, as well as reception from the Greenville-Spartanburg, Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, Johnson City-Bristol-Kingsport and Asheville markets.

98.9- WYRD-FM
This is how I supposedly ended up on the radio as a caller to Foxy 99. In the 1980s I could hear what is now 98.7 Simon from Greensboro when I was trying to listen to what was beautiful music WSPA 98.9. Foxy is at 99.1. You do the math.

WEGO is off the air. You said it was 98.3, but that was WEGO's translator before it was sold to EMF.

Now that I think of it, there was already a H.I.S. radio translator, which was on a billboard east of Charlotte, so that's a different translator entirely. I used to have trouble hearing WIST in the Charlotte area for that reason when it played good music. WIST had different call letters when I was able to pick it up in Newton.
