FM booster for Corpus Christi?

Gerald Benavides' Claro Communications has filed an amended application for an on-channel booster, relaying KMZZ from Bishop. A problem arose when it became evident that the coverage of the booster, on paper at least, would extend well into Corpus Christi beyond the coverage of the main station on 106.9 in violation of FCC rules. Claro contends that they need the booster ("KMZZ-1") because of interference due to "coastal ducting."
