Someone call CNN on this one right now. We need to get to the bottom of this.

If you really feel the need to call a cable network for an explanation, it would be better to call the Weather Channel and ask if there's a temperature inversion in the RGV. I think I'll just keep the phone on the hook and be content to enjoy the unusually easy reception of broadcasters from 150+ miles away. ;)

Have you ever picked up KBFM's HD signal or KVLY's HD? A lot of the time I get that, I also sometimes get KBTQ analog and Mixes HD Signal will kick in over it. Same thing happens when KBFM HD signal comes in I can get KRIO's analog signal.

Yes, and it confused the heck out of me the first time it happened. Was in Beeville listeing to KOUL Corpus, and the HD (for then KIOL) kicked in. I'm sure it happens more often than not in this part of the US where more stations don't have HD, and the ones that do are generally Class C's at 100k.

I could imagine in South Texas happening a lot. You have station going HD in San Antonio and in RGV. Probably driving through the area of Freer , Falfurrias, San Diego, and George West would see most of this type of confusion. How many Corpus Christi's Stations have HD on?
