FM DX'ing on the Island of Oahu

For any Hawaiians out there - or anyone who has visited - I was wondering if anyone has had any successful FM DX'ing? I know the spots where one can pick up neighbor-island stations (for example, many Maui stations are audible on the beach at Hanauma Bay). But has anyone ever DX'd a Big Island FM station from Oahu? Has anyone heard a California FM from Oahu via e-skip?

I don't know of anyone receiving mainland stations on Oahu, but it's been done on the Big Island. Not e-skip, but a tropo duct. (which forms on a fairly regular basis)

The duct is usually way too high to be worked by anyone in Hilo. (or Honolulu) However, there *have* been events where hams have worked the duct from elevated parts of Oahu -- so mainland FM probably *is* possible -- though from what I hear, receiver overload is a serious problem there due to low transmitting antennas.

From Oahu, three neighbor island stations are easy pick-ups:
1. 96.9/FM 97 KFMN/Lihue - receivable in much of the North Shore as well as parts of Waikiki
2. 99.9 Kiss FM/Kahului, Maui - receivable in much of eastern Oahu, especially from the Koko Head area to Sandy Beach
3. 106.5 Maui Country - runs satellite Country; has same reception pattern as 99.9 Kiss FM.

Have any of you ever received a Big Island FM station from Oahu? If so, which station? Where?

And secondly, one of the replies mentioned people hearing mainland FM stations from the Big Island. Again, does anyone have any info about which ones, and where on the Big Island? Thanks in advance.
