FM Frequency of the Week - 100.7 MHz

What do you all get on 100.7 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH it's semi-local WMMS/Cleveland, OH with a mancave format of rock music, sports, and talk. When tropo is strong across Lake Erie, I'll hear the 100.7 side of CKUE '95.1 & 100.7 Lite FM' interfering with WMMS. The 100.7 side of that signal originates from Windsor, ON while 95.1 is in Chatham, ON.

Depending on where I'm at is what I get on 100.7. If I'm in western Lake County Indiana or south Chicagoland, it's WRXQ Coal City/Joliet, IL, a Class A. In eastern Lake County Indiana & into Porter County Indiana, it's Class B WBYT Elkhart, IN. If I go into the northern suburbs of Chicago (especially in Lake & McHenry Counties of Illinois), it's WKKV Racine, WI, a 50kw Class B station.

In Meriden, CT, 20 miles south of Hartford, it's splatter from WRCH Hartford 100.5, transmitting from West Peak, just a couple of miles from my front door.

Here in Warminster PA(Philadelphia area), it's semi-local WLEV from Allentown. In tropo situations, WZXL from Atlantic City
would overtake WLEV.

In Tampa, I can get WMTX, which is an Hot AC-formatted station called, Mix 100.7.
FACT: Did you know that Tampa's Mix 100.7 is actually the hub base for Tampa Bay's EAS system?

It depends where you are in East Tennessee as there are a few possibilities. There's a translator for WJXB in Kodak, Q100.7 (WBGQ) in Bulls Gap TN or Chattanooga's WUSY.

In Dayton OH it was always WEEC, but the windstorm that was from the aftermath of Hurricane Ike took WEEC off the air for a couple of days, it allowed rare reception of WMMS

100.7 has varied widely. Local WCUZ Bear Lake, MI has a CP to move to 100.7 and I've heard them testing. Besides them, WKKV Racine, WI and WOBE Crystal Falls, MI can also come in. I've also heard WITL Lansing, MI rarely. WSRJ Honor, MI (now on 105.5) started off as WKVK on 100.7.

5 miles North of Newark, NJ, its a mix of WHUD and a pirate out of East Orange that's interfered for 9 months now. During tropo, WZXL out of Wildwood is most common and wipes out WHUD. WLEV out of Allentown sometimes comes in and on rare occasions WZLX out of Boston.

YAKIMA WA
100.7 is right next to KARY 100.9, so there's splatter here. Some parts will get KHSS Athena, OR however with Catholic programming. KKWF has also been heard here from Seattle, but very rare. KMGX Bend, OR can dominate with Hot AC for brief peaks as well.
E-skip wise...
CFJL Winnipeg, MB 7/15/14 w/ local commercial
K264BA Portales, NM (KFLQ) 7/20/14 250W w/ mention of Family Life Radio
KSLX Scottsdale, AZ 8/8/14 w/ local ads

100.7 fm

Here in Thousand Oaks we get a country station in Ventura called 100.7 KHAY they play all country its a cumulus station

In the western suburbs of St. Louis, known as the "Westplex," KFNS-FM (a classic/acive rock station known as "100.7 The Viper") can be heard in many parts of the area. KGMO Cape Girardeau can also be heard easily.

South of Minnesota River (SW Burbs of Minneapolis)

W264BR which is a FM translator of KUOM (Radio K...college radio from U of Minnesota) 770
The translator is needed because 770 is a daytimer only

Here in Cincinnati on the 100.7 dial.
It's 102.7 WEBN HD 2 program called "The Project 100.7 and 106.3" The translator call letters are "W264BW".
The signal is moderately good in Saint Bernard. But the translator's watts can't go further up north because of another radio station signal named "WEEC 100.7 FM" is already there.
One time, WEEC's headquarters, or antenna moved into another location which made W264BW move up a little bit up north.
Well. It is W264BW moderately local in My, and all the areas except North which is WEEC is there.
