FM Frequency of the Week: 100.7

Orange County, TX - KKHT Lumberton, TX with KASE Austin, TX or WTGE Baton Rouge, LA coming in when conditions are right

East Tennessee: Take your pick. W264CJ, Knoxville, translator for WKXV-900. WBGQ Bulls Gap, TN, serving the Lakeway area, or WUSY, Cleveland, TN, Chattanooga's big Country station.

Retro/other: Dayton, OH area was WEEC, long-time religious broadcaster. After the Hurricane Ike remnants that took out a lot of the power grid in 2008, WEEC was off the air for a couple of days, giving us a rare chance to log WMMS, Cleveland.

South Mississippi:
usually weak signal from WDGL Baton Rouge - 100.7 The Tiger (country) or
WJTQ - Jet 100.7 Pensacola's Classic Hits
These have been heard rarely:
KZBL Natchitoches, LA - Greatest hits & Goodtime oldies
WMMS Cleveland - The Buzzard (active rock)

Central Kentucky:

WCYO Richmond "Coyote County" , decent signal and a lot of classic country mixed in with newer stuff. Owned by Wallingford Broadcasting.

Wilmington Delaware

3 stations are assigned to the Philly DMA on this frequency and I can hear all of them in my living room -

WZXL - Wildwood NJ - South Jersey's Rock Station. This comes in the strongest and can be heard throughout Delaware S of Wilmington. It is part of the Phillies radio network.

WLEV - Allentown PA - 80;s, 90's and Today. It can be heard in extreme N Delaware right at the PA border. I can hear it in one corner of the living room.

W246BH - Philadelphia PA with Gospel Music. Transmitter is in downtown Philly but puts a highly directional signal S to protect WLEV. I can hear it in one spot near the A/C unit.

Hartland, VT:

Nothing. Tropo/enhanced reception (not sure which) brings in classic rock WZLX Boston, MA.

Meriden, CT:

Also nothing, but IBOC splatter from WRCH is too strong to allow for enhanced reception signals to break through.

Denver, CO - K264BO, translator for 560 KLZ. BO might have more coverage than this station, depending on factors we won't go into here: it's on Lookout Mountain which is a so-so site at best, it has 99 watts, and is directional. Even though it's running a talk format, Crawford has it running in stereo anyway. It's slightly better than a fringe signal at my east Denver location. So other things manage to pop in: KGFT, "The Word", licensed to Pueblo but located on Cheyenne Mountain west of Colorado Springs; and KOLT, Cheyenne, WY, "Kolt Country". Two Cheyennes for the price of one.

Central Kansas:
OK to weak signal from KHOK/Hoisington.

North Iowa: A weak signal from KKRQ/Iowa City or KJYL/Eagle Grove. WBIZ-FM/Eau Claire is a frequent visitor as well.

Nutley, NJ. Semi local WHUD Peekskill, NY / W264DH Eatontown, NJ can come in, in certain spots around my house.
Tropo: WZXL Wildwood, NJ (only signal that can completely wipe out WHUD during tropo) WLEV Allentown, NJ (rare) and WZLX Boston, MA (more rare)

Clifton, New Jersey

I get WHUD Peekskill, NY. It airs a Adult Contemporary music format. I have received WZXL Wildwood, NJ during tropo. On 03/15/2024, I was able to receive W264DH "100.7 The Breeze" Eatontown, NJ because WHUD was temporarily off the air.
