FM Frequency of the Week: 100.9

Hartland, VT:

WWFY Berlin (Montpelier area) "Froggy 100.9" with country music.

Meriden, CT:

Usually nothing, but country WRNX ("Kix 100.9") Amherst, MA, comes in during enhanced reception conditions.

Wilmington Delaware

Usually nothing, but 2 stations make occasional appearances -

WAAI Hurlock MD with Classic Country. It can heard in SW Delaware all the time.

WFMI Southern Shores NC with Gospel programming, This comes in strong enough during TROPO to show the ID of the station on my HD radio. When I first saw the call letters I had to look it up on Radio-Locator to see where it was.

Melbourne FL

100.9 MHz usually overshadowed by WJRR - Cocoa Beach-Orlando....

retro
W265BV Okeechobee FL WOKC - The Big O True country 2018

WXJZ Gainesville FL Smooth Jazz 100.9 Smooth jazz 2007

Palm Beach area FL - reggae/hip hop (pirate?) 2005

WPAL Walterboro SC 100.9FM Hiphop 2004

East Tennessee: Knoxville/Sevierville. NADA. We had a translator nearby but it has moved.
Retro/other: Dayton, OH area, with WEEC on 100.7 in the wake of Hurricane Ike remnants, I logged both WBNO, Bryan, OH and WXIZ, Waverly, OH.

Denver, CO - Nothing. K264BO isn´t much of an adjacent-channel factor because it's so weak but 101.1 KOSI definitely spills over.

Clifton, New Jersey

I usually get nothing. It's probably because of HD hash from 101.1 WCBS-FM New York, NY, which makes DXing very difficult on that frequency. However, I was able to receive WKNL "100.9 K-Hits" New London, CT on my TEF6686 during tropo twice this year.

Cascade ID
K265EY, with The Effect, KEFX. 10 watt translator on West Mountain, which is unfortunately on fire right now (so they may end up going off).
Because of this, I haven't heard KARY Grandview WA yet, but if they were off they would be possible on aircraft/Tr scatter. I did hear K265DX Enterprise OR last week on top of Boulder Mountain SE of McCall. Elevation 8300 feet. K265DX relays KFAE 89.1 Richland, NWPB.

Yakima - the usual local, KARY '100.9 Cherry FM'. Classic hits with Throwback Nation Radio (new to air weeknights since the death of Tom Kent), Yacht Rock Radio and AT40 The 70s/80s on Sundays. I did hear KGBL Lakin KS on Es from Ellensburg, where KARY barely makes it in.

Central Kentucky:
WLSK Lebanon with country music
The "LSK" in the call is for "Lebanon Springfield Kentucky.
Springfield is the next town over from Lebanon and 10 miles is all that seperates them.

In suburban Columbus, nothing next to local classical WOSA on 101.1.
I'm about 20 miles too far west for the last breath of WJAW/McConnelsville, long a sports station that switched to country a few years back.
Probably 15-20 miles too far south to get WMVO from Mount Vernon. It used to be the FM simulcast for WMVO-AM 1300 before that station went off the air last year.
