FM Frequency of the Week: 101.3

Wilmington Delaware

Weak signal from WCHK (Chicken 101.3) in Milford DE with Country Music. The XMTR is right on the Kent/Sussex County border so it puts a good signal into Central and Southern Delaware but just a fringe signal up here. It has gone thru several format changes over the years -

WXPZ (Praise 101.3) with Contemporary Christian Music.
WNCL (Cool 101.3) with Rock oriented 70's and 80's music. It still exists on 930 AM and a LPFM on 102.1.

I've also picked up WWDE from Hampton Roads VA at times.

Hartland, VT:

WYKR Haverhill, NH ("Your Country"), country music, simulcast of WTWN(AM) 1100.

Meriden, CT:

WKCI Hamden ("KC-101"), CHR.

East Tennessee: WECO, Wartburg, which puts its strongest signal northwest and west of Knoxville, with Oak Ridge still in its "red zone"

Kenosha, WI- This has historically been one of the quietest frequencies here. Nothing local, just a few LPFMs within 40 miles that I've not heard.

Most common via tropo is WBFX Grand Rapids, MI. Occasional reception of WBAA-FM West Lafayette, IN and KUUL East Moline, IL. That's it.

Nutley, NJ hash from WCBS
Tropo: WKCI from Hamden, CT (hard to receive despite only being 75 miles away)
Caught WWDE from Hampton, VA a few times in the past (almost 300 miles away)
