FM frequency of the week 101.7

What can you receive on 101.7? Here in Vermilion, OH (about 35 miles west of Cleveland) it is a very weak WHOF/ N Canton, OH. Once in a while I'll pick up a Canadian station calling itself "101.7 the One"

WNYQ (Q101 Glens Falls) dominates the 101.7 frequency here in Schenectady, NY, albeit with a fairly weak signal (in comparison to WFFG, WQAR and WKBE, three other Saratoga/Glens Falls stations)... also have picked up WBRK Pittsfield before (also on 101.7)

Northern VA, near DC, I usually get nothing on 101.7. Sometimes it's a very weak 101.7 coming out of Delaware or southeast VA.

The aforementioned WHOF/101.7 "My 101.7" North Canton OH is a regular local now.

It was a reasonably easy to hear semi-local as WJER-FM Dover OH until it made the move north.

In Bothell/Bellevue, WA: KPLZ 101.5 slop, but at some extent nullable.
Es logs: KQAZ Springerville, AZ (Majik 101.7) on 5/22/2011, KQTM Albuquerque, NM (ESPN, 101.7 The Team) on 7/20/2011.

In Yakima it's a local/semi-local, KLES Prosser, WA (Regional Mexican).

Here in Durham, NC, 101.7 MHz is IBOC hash from Raleigh's WRAL 101.5, and has been ever since WRAL became the nation's second commercial radio station to broadcast in HD Radio in December of 2002. Before that, I was able to log Franklin, Virginia's WLQM, but more frequently, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina's legendary WKZQ, which operated on this frequency until moving to 96.1 in a 2008 frequency swap with Hahahan, South Carolina-licensed WAVF (Charleston market).

Here 5 miles north of Newark, NJ, it's usually IBOC from 101.9 WEMP. During tropo, WJKS from South Jersey and WBEA from Southold, Long Island make it up here, mostly WBEA.

Up in Bellingham, WA, CHLY Naniamo, BC sends a ghosty signal out this way.....

101.7 has also been used as a pirate at times.....

101.7 just opened up in Dayton, Ohio after WKSW moved to 101.5 and became WCLI. So far I've heard the WNKO, Newark OH which was able to do a tower move closer to Columbus after the Spreingfield 101.7 was gone.

101.9 WTMX Skokie/Chicago is too strong in Gary, IN to typically get anything on 101.7. If I'm in parts of southern Merrillville , Crown Point, or Cedar Lake south of 133rd Avenue, then 101.7 WIVR Kentland, IN can be picked up. While WIVR is licensed to Indiana, the owners (Milner Broadcasting) really markets their station more for the Watseka, IL area, & to a lesser extent, Kankakee, IL.

WAVF is Chuck FM, Chucktown being a nickname for Charleston. They play "everything". It's Hanahan, by the way. And in the car I got a listenable signal in Marion.
