FM Frequency of the Week - 102.7 MHz

What can you all get on 102.7 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH it's local WCPZ/Sandusky, OH 'Mix 102-7' with a Hot AC format. When there's tropo from Michigan, I'll hear WPZR/Mount Clemens, MI interfering. While visiting a friend in Canton, OH I logged WVSR/Charleston, WV (around 170 air miles away!)

102.7 MHz
Manistee, MI: Mostly WMOM Pentwater, but WRVM Suring, WI has been known to overtake it during the summer
Allendale, MI: WFUR bleedover (thank God they don't run IBOC), but WMOM, WRVM, and WVAZ Oak Park, IL have all made appearances in the last month.

WMOM has a CP to move to 96.3, so if that happens, 102.7 in Manistee will likely be all WRVM, all the time

In Houston, 102.7 is destroyed by next door neighbor KLTN-Houston at 102.9 from downtown. Nothing has ever broken through 102.7 in the City limits for me.

In Bellville, some days KJXK-San Antonio will make an appearance, but nowhere near the regularity of stations like KISS or KSMG.

Yesterday there was some good tropo here in Vermilion, OH enough so that something was beating up local WCPZ pretty badly, presumably WPZR from north of Detroit.

In Marysville, WA it's Vancouver BC's CKPK. "102.7 the Peak" with Modern AC/AAA. Used to be CFRO, now on 100.5. When it was on 102.7, the signal was horrendous down here - 100.5 CFRO sounds a lot better now. No E-skip caught on this frequency yet - I suppose my first log (in the future) will be KIIS KISS FM from LA...

In Wapato, WA (10 mi S of Yakima) it's KORD Richland, WA with country. Somewhat multipathed and static-filled.

On the Washington Coast I've gotten variable, poor to very strong signals of KYTE Newport, OR at 160 miles. Stations from the Newport area do very well on FM up near Ocean Shores and Moclips due to line-of-sight. There are a few hills that block line-of-sight coverage down into Florence and Coos Bay however.

In Portland OR it's K274AR Gresham OR with Air 1.

In NE PA here, WKSZ Williamsport is the regular.
About a year ago, I did get WQSR Baltimore during
a semi-mild trope, on the GE SR II. No ID but I guess
it was they, what with all the spots mentioning places like
Aberdeen and such. Not too many Aberdeens around.
And I had to null WKSZ to hear 'em.

Ordinarily our trope reception comes from that way ; Balt/D.C,
MD, DE.
At least it seems to be the pattern when I DX FM, which
is irregular. I just happened to be tuning around on someone's
front porch in St. Clair PA, on a break from painting that day.
St. Clair is within 10 miles of my house, so WQSR 'counts' as a
strict domestic catch, hi.

In northern VA, it's Baltimore's WQSR "Jack FM". One E skip opening brought me WXBM Pensacola, FL with a country format. Once heard WJJX Appomattox, VA with top 40/hip hop format here.
