FM Frequency of the Week: 103.5

Wilmington Delaware

An active frequency here -

W278AK - Chester PA - relays WXHL 89.1 Christiana DE with Gospel Music. Very weak with a highly directional signal to the N.

WJKI - Bethany Beach DE 'The Vault' with Classic Rock. Makes appearances when other Delmarva stations show up like WQHQ 104.7.

WTOP - Washington DC - All News which used to be on 1500AM. It still is late in the evening. Makes occasional appearances when Baltimore stations like WJZ 105.7 come in with an HD signal.

WKTU - New York with Hot AC/Dance. I heard Dance music one evening on this frequency and thought this station can't be one of the usual stations I hear so I waited for an ID and heard 'WKTU'. Very rare reception.

East Tennessee-local powerhouse WIMZ, Knoxville.

Retro/other: Dayton, Ohio. WGRR, Cincinnati (Hamilton), usually was listenable in the south suburbs. The 103.5 in Pickerington sometimes made it in. Much rarer was WMUZ, Detroit.

Denver, CO - Local KRFX. Classic rock, nothing special, as you would expect from iHeart. HD-2 is a simulcast of 630 KHOW.

Tyler, TX:

Typically, a fair to weak signal from Urban "103.5 KZRB" New Boston/Texarkana. Favorable conditions will draw classic country "Willy 103.5" WTAW-FM Buffalo up here, but that's quite a haul for the little Class A, and is fairly rare this far northeast of Buffalo.

South Mississippi:

usually weak signal from WQRZ-LP Bay St. Louis, MS (community radio). The lower HD sideband of WFFX has reduced WQRZ's range to the west.
KLAA Alexandria, LA - LA 103.5 (country) is very common during tropo conditions, and these have sometimes come in:
KBPA Austin, TX - 103.5 Bob FM
WFUS Gulfport, FL - US 103.5 Tampa Bay's #1 For New Country
XHRX Cerro Grande Santa Fe, Jalisco - La Tapatía (grupera)
WTOP Washington - WTOP News
CIDC Orangeville, ON - Z103.5 (rhythmic contemporary)
WMUZ Detroit - The Light (contemporary Christian music)

Central Kentucky:

The main signal of WAKY Radcliff (Louisville metro) decent signal and one of my favorites. However, if I go north 30 miles it mixes with WGRR Cincinnati .
WAKY is also on 620 AM and two translators.
