FM Frequency of the Week - 104.1 MHz

Where I am west of Toronto it's Buffalo's Classic Hits 104.1 WHTT. In most of my cases, reception is almost perfect if not virtually perfect. It's only adjacent channel neighbor is CIRR "103.9 Proud FM" which is so far weak enough to not cause any problems.

In Houston it's local legend 104.1 KRBE airing top 40.

Here in Marysville, WA it's a very strong KAFE Bellingham, WA (pronounced as Café 104.1 - but still called KAFE).
Before KAFE flipped from 104.3, I did receive a very weak CHHR Vancouver BC before they flipped to 104.3. May have also received KXDD Yakima but I think that was just tentative.

My only Es catch on 104.1 is KNAB Burlington, CO. (About 1150 mi)

Down in Portland OR it's KFIS Scappoose, OR with "104.1 The Fish", Christian Contemporary.

On the Washington Coast KAFE also comes in (120-130mi away), varying signal from staticky to fair-good during Tropo.

Here in the Portland area it is "The Fish" KFIS licensed to Scappoose, but located in Portland. The Fish is a Contemporary Christian music station.

Here in Warminster PA(Philly 'burbs), it's semi-local WAEB-FM(B-104) from Allentown(Top 40/CHR from Clear Channel). In tropo, I have also received 104.1 stations from Hartford, Boston and Washington DC.

From Coldwater, MI-

Semi-local WVGR Grand Rapids most of the time, but a little bit of tropo can bring in..

WLBC- Muncie, IN- CHR
WQAL- Cleveland, OH- Hot AC- Q104
WSAG- Linwood, MI- AC- 'The Bay'
WBWN- Le Roy, IL- Country- 'B104'

Also managed CICZ Midland, ON one time, and never heard since.

Here in northern VA, I get WPRS Waldorf, MD with a black gospel format; Waldorf is just southeast of DC. The station is now on HD; I've heard HD-2 also gospel and HD-3 mostly preaching. A good tropo once brought me WCXL Kill Devil Hills, NC, which is on the Outer Banks coast.

Allendale, MI: Local WVGR Grand Rapids
Manistee, MI: A weak WRLU Algoma, WI; WVGR makes it in during southern tropo (they have the least CCI of any of the GR Big Three up here)

Nothing local, occasional WCLE (Cleveand TN area) or WALR, Greenville GA, Back in Dayton, OH when you could get away from WXEG it could either be WLBC, Muncie or what was WPAY, Portsmouth

Kenosha, WI- Empty frequency locally; WVGR Grand Rapids, MI can be heard pretty much any time with a directional FM antenna. Second most common would be WZEE Madison, WI Z104.
