FM Frequency of the Week - 105.9 MHz

What can you get on 105.9 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH it is mostly IBOC hash from local WMJI 105.7. WDMK/Detroit with an urban AC format will poke through the hash to varying degrees depending on conditions.

Monroe, WA - IBOC from KBKS 106.1
Yakima, WA - splatter from KRSE 105.7
Portland, OR - KFBW Vancouver, WA (105.9 The Brew) local

-crainbebo

Allendale, MI: IBOC from WSRW 105.7
Manistee, MI: a very weak WKHQ (with occasional splatter from WAPL 105.7 or WMIL 106.1)

Coffeyville, KS: Mostly splatter from KTGX 106.1 The Twister.
Parsons, KS: This is really a dead frequency here. 105.9 Kiss FM from Lawrence will peak through on occasion.

Foley, AL: Mostly splatter from "Sunny 105.7" WCSN Orange Beach and "Magic 106.1" WRRX in Pensacola, both class A's. When skip floats in, however, it's often "Bob FM" WQBB from Pascagoula, MS. Less common is top-40 "Island 106" WILN from Panama City, FL.

Oddly enough, least common is the closest station, "Kix Country" WBZR in Atmore, Alabama. They've been silent/low power for ages and ages and are almost impossible to here where I live, despite being only about 40 air miles north.

KFBW.

(Why is it always frequencies that are in use by flamethrowers out here?)
