FM Frequency of the Week - 106.7 MHz

What can you get on 106.7 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH it is mostly WDTW/Detroit as '106.7 the D' with 80s based classic rock with a side of IBOC from WHLK 106.5/Cleveland.

106.7 is full of KRWM 106.9 IBOC.

In Yakima, WA I also don't get much due to KEGX's splatter from 106.5.

Portland, OR is a local, KLTH Portland with oldies.

-crainbebo

Nothing local on this frequency in south Baldwin County, Alabama. Depending on which way the wind blows, we can sometimes hear Hot AC "Mix 106.7" WKXM from the Dothan market, or Rhythmic AC "Old School 106.7" KMEZ from New Orleans/Port Sulphur.

From Coldwater, MI-

Usually WFGA Hicksville, OH with a sports format (The Fan). But it doesn't take much for WDTW- Detroit, MI or WPPN- Des Plaines, IL to take over the signal.

Have also received
WTLC- Greenwood, IN- Urban AC
WCGX- Dublin, OH- Alternative/Gen X Radio
WKHL- West Lafayette, IN- Cont. Christian/K-Love
WAMO- Beaver Falls, PA- Catholic
WSRT- Gaylord, MI- Talk
WTDY- Mount Horeb, WI- Talk//1670
Also Green Bay, WI, but the call letters escape me right now.

Northern VA,

I get local WJFK with sports talk with HD2, HD3, HD4, each simulcasting WIP Philly, WFAN New York, WJZ Baltimore, all of them sports.

Here, it's the local K-Love, WKVK, which is a bit of a frustration because before they came on you could occasionally hear Billy Graham's WMIT on 106.9.

Later . . . .

Warminster PA(Philadelphia area):

Mostly splatter from local 106.9 WWIQ. Heard WLTW("Lite 106.7") from New York many times here.

In Lake County Indiana, I get a faint signal of WPPN Des Plaines, IL. Since this station signed on under the current rules, they're not allowed to locate in Chicago in order to protect WSRB Lansing, IL on 106.3 (main reason), & to a lesser extent, WZVN Lowell, IN on 107.1 (this station just relocated their antenna to the site of WXRD's new 500' tower, just south of Crown Point, IN). If I go thru Jasper or Newton County Indiana, I can get WKHL West Lafayette, IN.

KQIV in Lake Oswego (BPOE #2263), 1972-1976.

[size=8pt](Didn't see that coming, did you? ;o)

In the middle of Virginia, I can pick up WJFK from the DC area, and also W294AJ, the translator in Charlottesville. Its weak, but if I point the Yagi at it I can null out JFK and pick them up.

Phoenix AZ we get KWSS-LP from Scottsdale which is a 501c3 community 13 watt station, it was playing newer alternative type rock when I tuned in.

Here in Gaffney, SC - Normally static and HD sideband hash from both 106.5 WEND & 106.9 WMIT.
During tropo very often I can hear WTCB from the Columbia area, 100 miles away.
