OK, we’ll get the headline and rest of the article right this time.
We are counting up through the traditional, pre-80-90 Class B/C Frequencies.
What do you or did you hear on 102.7?
East Tennessee (Knoxville-Sevierville). Now it’s W274BZ, WLIL, Lenoir City, TN’s translator. Before that, it was WEKX, Jellico TN. Never any sign of WEBN, Cincinnati, which was probably quite doable in the days before 80-90.
Retro/other: Dayton, OH: WEBN, Cincinnati but not all that strong with short-spaced WDHT next door.
Lafayette, IN in the 90s: WPFR, Terre Haute usually.
Retro DX Clip of the week: Let’s listen to a brief clip of WPFR from 1978. http://46124.info/FM/Indiana/IN Terre Haute 102.7 1978 WPFR.mp3
