Getting close to the end of the traditional Class B/C FM Frequencies:

What do you or did you get on 106.9?

East Tennessee: Obviously the Billy Graham Evangelistic Associations's WMIT, Black Mountain NC. But wait, there's more! There are times in mountainous areas when terrain shielding is your friend, and that can bring in WKXD, Monterrey, TN (even from a Gatlinburg cabin).

Retro/other: Growing up in West Central Ohio (60 miles north of Dayton, 50 miles southeast of Fort Wayne) there was WMRI, Marion, Indiana and WMRN, Marion, Ohio, both beautiful music, both 50,000 watts, and it was possible to have one or the other (though Indiana more frequently). WMRI is the present-day WXXC (still a heck of a signal); iHeart danced WMRN into the Columbus market and moved it down a notch to 106.7. now flanker WXZS.

Same at my location in the far northwest suburbs....along additional noise from a local translator on 107.1 (for WNVR/1030) that signed on recently. Its about five miles from my house.

Usually WLGE Baileys Harbor, WI, which was dropped in several years ago. Surprisingly uncommon considering its power (50kW) and distance (71 miles) is WOOD Muskegon, MI

Good to moderate signal from KROC/Rochester

Central KS:
Generally nothing, though KTPK/Topeka can come in decent at times. Since I moved, a new translator has signed on for KJRG/Newton (only 27 miles away) that I have yet to hear.

Weak signal from WVEZ, Louisville (Adult Contemporary - SummitMedia)
Occasionally, translator W295BD (Mount Sterling) comes in over WVEZ. East of the urban area of the city, this is always the case.

In Atlanta, that frequency would be splatter from 106.7 WAKL (K-Love) and 107.1 WLKQ (Hispanic).
