Into the 104s as we survey the traditional Class B/C frequencies. What do or did you get on 104.1?
East Tennessee: A translator for WSEV (AM), W281BQ makes it into South Knoxville. If you’re in West Knoxville, you’ll find WMJA-LP, Loudon, TN. Before the Sevierville translator, WCLE, Calhoun TN made appearances, as did WALR near Atlanta. I had one time reception of Portsmouth, OH when it was simulcasting WNKU.
Retro/other: Dayton, OH. With 103.9 downtown (having tower danced from Xenia), not a lot but WLBC-FM Muncie and the Portsmouth station were ocassional visitors. Further north, WLBC was a semi-local but midnight signoff sometimes brought Evansville IN.
Retro DX Clip of the week: Here’s one station I grew up with, WLBC-FM, Muncie IN with Drake-Chenault’s “Solid Gold”
