FM Frequency of the Week 2018-19-20: 107.3

4 away from the end of the dial as far as the traditional U.S. Class B/C FM frequencies are concerned, inclding today.

What do you/did you/have you recieved on 107.3?

East Tennessee (Knoxville/Sevierville): Mostly W297AX, which now is the Sevier County translator for WJXB. Midwest so far has not run an HD2 relay on this translator---maybe one of the few actually being used as originally intended. WJXB's translator used to be on 101.1 while 107.3 was rimshot WIJV-92.7 Harriman's translator. That has been traded in for 94.7, technically relaying simulcast partner WIFA-1240.
Whenever the 107.3 translator is off, WCTT, Corbin KY is easy pickings.

Retro/other: Dayton, Ohio area: WCWT, Centerville, OH, which is Centerville High School's station, holds forth on 107.3 (having moved from 101.5 several years ago). In their absence, it's most often WRZQ, Greensburg IN but sometimes WRSW, Warsaw or WNWV, Eyria, OH.

Here is the former Beautiful Music WBEA, Elyria, OH, with "Music Just for the Two of Us", and ABC Entertainment news via Bob Hawkins.

At my northwest suburban Chicago location 107.3 is WSJY from Fort Atkinson, WI. Weak signal, but listenable on a good radio. (Fort Atkinson is about 25 miles southeast of Madison).

In Atlanta, splatter from 107.5 WAMJ Magic 107.5 a urban formatted Radio One property.

Warminster PA(Philly 'burbs):

Usually the Philly translator of WRDV(89.3 right here in
Warminster). I have also heard WPUR(Cat Country) from
AC and WRQX(former Top 40, now K-Love) from DC.
AC and DC, how about that?

Lexington, KY:

Usually nothing or bleedover from local WLAI 107.1, depending on what side of town I'm on. Occasionally, WCTT from Corbin will make it up here. I believe WRZQ, Greensburg (Columbus, IN) has made it here on few occasions as well.

Ellensburg WA

KFFM Yakima (Top 40), a 100KW blaster. Signal is variable however, sometimes quite multipathed thanks to the Manastash Ridge blocking Yakima signals.
I have CHBE Victoria BC (Top 40) also logged when KFFM was off the air, but this was from back in Yakima. Also had KANY Cosmopolis WA (Country) from a location SW of Rimrock in the Goat Rocks (about 7000ft elevation).

Eskip will likely not wipe out KFFM here even with the multipathed signal. It would take a spectacular opening most likely. Other Yakima locals have a better chance of being wiped out (99.7, 92.9 and 100.9) due to distance from Ellensburg, mountain blockage and power.
