FM Frequency of the Week 2018-19-20: 95.9

I got ahead of myself last week in our journey through the traditional U.S. Class A FM frequencies. So I'll pick up 95.9.

East Tennessee: Occasionally WRZK, Colonial Heights TN makes it in. That's about it with 95.7 Duke FM next door.'

Retro/other: Not much of note, but I managed WKUZ, Wabash IN on a clock radio from Dayton, OH one morning, and the occasional WYNT, which tower danced from Upper Sandusky to Calcedia to move into Marion, once the original WMRN moved down a notch and into Columbus.

Retro DX clip of the week: Back to Florida for a clip from a city that David Eduardo has referenced...Bonita Springs FL. WLEQ was on 95.9 back in 1973. There are outcues from the American Contemporary Radio Network. http://46124.info/FM/Florida/FL Bonita Springs 95.9 1975 WLEQ.mp3

95.9 in Ellensburg WA is KZML Quincy (La Gran D), Spanish. If I travel 15 miles up on Reecer Creek/FR-3500 towards Lion Rock, I can hear KRSX Goldendale WA (Hot AC), about 110 miles away on Stacker Butte near Klickitat.

Eskip logs (and there's plenty of them) include:
KACP Pahrump NV (Country)
KSSR Santa Rosa NM (Variety)
KUKY Wellton AZ (Regional Mexican)
KSOK-FM Winfield KS (Country)
KWMV-LP Westcliffe CO (Variety, at 94 watts my lowest-powered Es catch ever!)
KIDN Hayden CO (Hot AC)
KILR-FM Estherville IA (Country)
KKLD Cloudwood AZ (Classic Hits)
KJJZ Indian Wells CA (Soft AC)
KFSH La Mirada CA (Christian Contemporary)
KXXZ Barstow CA (Regional Mexican)
KZHK St. George UT (Classic Rock)
KKIT Taos NM (Top 40)

Far northwestern suburbs of Chicago....

95.9 is WERV from Aurora, IL. Class A station with a weak signal at my location. Format is classic rock.
